Why can't I register, or charge with my University of Iowa ID card?

A student or staff member may be restricted because of their financial standing with the University. An account will be restricted if a bill has become past due, a balance remains from a previous semester, an amount has been placed in collection, or if any check has been returned to the University Billing Office. A restriction placed on account prohibits registration, ID Card charging ability, release of transcripts, and telephone privileges.
